Speaking of those times, Boozer said, “That?s what?s so funny, Me and D (Darius) Miles, Ricky Davis, and Smush Parker did (the interviews), but what they never tell you about is the narrative they?re trying to spin, the context.” He added, “And it?s very rare that you see an 18-year-old guy come into the NBA and change your whole franchise.”

Boozer also mentioned how the media manipulated the interview clip to portray them as though they didn?t believe in their teammate. However, that was far from the truth. One thing we can certainly say is that, despite the critical remarks, James led a transformation within the team.

James brought on a major impact in his rookie year. In 2003, the Cleveland Cavaliers, with a regular season record of 17-65, doubled their win total thanks to the talented rookie. Within just three years, he transformed Cleveland into a playoff contender, reaching the Eastern Conference semi-finals in 2006.
