The San Antonio Spurs’ legendary French man, Tony Parker is more than excited for his big night. The 4-time champion and the 2007 NBA finals MVP has cemented his place as one of the game’s legends.

Parker and his teammates Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili won 4 of the 5 titles they vied for, for their franchise. The Spurs, recognizing his efforts and contribution in winning them championships, retired his #9 jersey.?

During an interview with Andscape, Tony Parker discussed his feelings regarding his induction into the prestigious Hall of Fame. He?believes this is his final opportunity to discuss basketball, his “first love.”?

?It is the stuff that you rarely see. And I?ve been with Timmy and Manu for a long time, and it was nice to see that side. Even at their [Spurs’] jersey retirement, they didn?t talk like that. But the Hall of Fame is the last time that you can talk about your career and reflect on your first love. And so that?s pretty cool.?

The Spurs reunion

The Hall of Fame will induct Tony Parker, the youngest of the famous trio of the San Antonio Spurs. With this, all of the trio members will be Hall of Famers, along with their coach Gregg Popovich who will be inducted with Parker. The French man chose his teammates and lifelong friends to present him with the prestigious award.

On 12th August, the Spurs’ all-time assist leader will make history as he becomes the first French player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Parker, who received France’s highest award for merit, the Legion of Honor, in 2007, admits he feels anxious about tonight.
