When Skip Bayless finds a critical Lebron take, he runs with it. This time, Paul Pierce provided some constructive criticism based on experience to describe the Lakers’ woes. While on Undisputed, Pierce put the blame on his once archnemesis, LeBron James. The show’s host, sports analyst, and notorious King critic went on X to double down on Pierce’s claim with his own opinions.

“Paul Pierce made a powerful point today on Undisputed. He said LeBron is now more of a ball hog stat machine who doesn’t get teammates involved enough, making them uncomfortable to shoot w/o 2nd guessing. That, said Paul, is the biggest reason the Lakers are 10th. Truth.”

The Truth did not say that James is making his teammates “uncomfortable.” That is Bayless. Paul Pierce said LeBron James need to pass the ball more. “The truth of the matter when I watch the Lakers this year. LeBron has been great numbers-wise, but he got to take a step back, He gotta give the ball up a little more. Since the All-Star break, look at his numbers. 29, nine and seven, 50 percent from the field, 45 from three. It’s not resultin’ in wins… When LeBron sat out, who’d they beat? Milwaukee, a contender. D-Lo (D’Angelo Russell) had 40. They went to Boston and got a win without LeBron,” he said on Undisputed.

The Lakers are well below expectations at the No. 10 spot in the Western Conference and could have tough competition in the play-in tournament. Pierce repeated what most of the NBA community has said about the team’s dependence on James. “I think he’s older, he needs to take a step back,” Pierce told Bayless. “The less he does, the more it’s gonna be for the team. And that’s not a bad thing.”

But there’s not much to confirm if his teammates are “uncomfortable” with or without him. Fans are not provoked by both of their comments. They were, in fact, expecting this from the Fox Sports analyst.

Fans dispute Undisputed duo

When it was revealed that Paul Pierce is coming on Undisputed, the NBA community had one prediction about putting two of the biggest LeBron critics in one room. While Pierce has refused to include his former rival in the GOAT conversation, Bayless recently argued with fans about putting James in the ninth spot as the best NBA player of all time.

Neither is getting much agreement from fans for their opinions. Most have commented under Bayless’ post that LeBron is taking a step back and the Lakers are trimming the load on him. They also don’t think he’s a “ball hog” by any means.

But it’s not uncommon for Skip Bayless to not find agreement within the NBA community. It won’t stop his tirade though.
