Francis Ngannou’s ‘Robbery’ in Riyadh Sours Kevin Garnett’s Excitement: “Full of Sh*t”

While the excitement was palpable ahead of the fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou, the final result left many disappointed. From LeBron James to Damian Lillard, many NBA stars also shared their displeasure. Boston Celtics legend Kevin Garnett had a similar opinion and is now seemingly “done with boxing”.

The 2008 champion’s anger turned into sheer disappointment after he witnessed a live ‘robbery‘.

Saudi Arabian has the capacity to pull a massive crowd and an attractive one as well. Sporting legends like Cristiano Ronaldo, Conor McGregor and even rap legend Eminem made a live appearance for the most anticipated Fury-Ngannou matchup. 

A few minutes into the fight, the Boston Celtics legend was soaked in excitement as he shared high praise for the country and its efforst, “Boyyyy the Saudis kno how to put on a Event!! Let me Tell you…This may be the future of entertainment for all sports”

This even led him to request a new match-up between Mike Tyson’s Francis Ngannou and Deontay Wilder. Anyhow, after Tyson Fury was announced as the winner, we saw a different KG—a disappointed one. Though the fight was a tight one, Ngannou had knocked out Fury in a couple of occasions. Moreover, the 37-year-old boxer threw some deadly punches, despite which his ‘deserving’ victory was taken away by 3 points. Upset by the seemingly biased results, the 15x NBA All-Star did not hold back.

He shared, They just robbed Francis…Boxing full of sh*t… Done with it”.

In fact, the fans on social media continue to show a similar reaction, defending Ngannou who even knocked out Fury in their third round

Well, KG was not the only one who felt the fight was robbed. Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid, and new Milwaukee Bucks recruit Damian Lillard were stunned by the unexpected result.

James shared, “Exactly why I don’t watch boxing!” and Embiid was in disbelief, “No f way Francis got robbed”. Lillard tweeted “Wtf?”, which sums up the fight.
