2025 is finally healing. The OGs, the cheer-tastic, the cheer-o-cratic government was back together! The cast of Bring it On reunited for the cult-popular franchise’s 25th anniversary. We can, of course, count on Gabrielle Union for the inside looks. She shared her own updates on the reunion with Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Bradford, and Lindsay Sloane at the Alamo Drafthouse in Los Angeles, Sept. 21. With this emotional attack on ’00s hearts waiting for a new Bring it On installment that features the founding cheer-fathers, we still have lingering canon what-ifs.

Very few fans have not imagined what Torrance, Missy, Isis, Cliff, and Courtney have been up to since graduating from Rancho Carne. Did the Toros disband? Do they still have a rivalry with the Clovers? Who carried the torch and who is top of the pyramid? Did Torrance become a cheer coach? Where did the Pantone siblings go?

At least Gabrielle Union made sure we don’t have to worry about Isis. She shared a little update on the looming question, “I wonder where Isis is right now?” on her Stories and answered her question in the same post. “Happy Hour at the last surviving Sizzler.”

Hmm… not what we imagined. Fans have a favorite theory that Isis becomes a famed Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, dates an NFL pro, returns as Clovers’ cheer coach, and writes a book on her Cheer-ful Cowboy WAG adventures. But hey, she could lurk around the nearest Sizzler after hours, too.

The person behind Isis came pretty close. Gabrielle Union met an NBA player, Dwyane Wade, lived the Miami Heat WAG life, is the fashion godmother to one daughter, Zaya, a dance mom to their youngest, Kaavia, and has authored a few books. And happy hour at Sizzlers?

There hardly seems to be time for that between the Tiffany & Co. events and supporting her husband’s fragrance, Intuition‘s promotion. Amid a very busy schedule (evident from her Instagram posts), Union carved out time for the Bring It On reunion. But it still had something …or …or someone … missing.

Gabrielle Union’s post confirm the missing link in Bring It On

We suspected it, seeing the few glimpses on social media. And Gabrielle Union’s posts confirmed it. The Bring It On reunion prominently missed Eliza Dushku. She played Missy Pantone, Cliff’s sister, who was a pretty significant part of the squad for bringing that rebellious attitude to the unorthodox Toros.

It’s unclear why Dushku skipped the reunion. She’s not very active on social media to clue fans in about her whereabouts. But despite one cheerleader down, this reunion was for the books.

Even One Tree Hill star, Sophia Bush, was gushing, “MY TEENAGE HEART!! IT BURSTS!” D-Wade was all love (with a heart emoji ❤️) and other fans declared the start of the Bring It On binge.

This might be the ideal time to go to Bring It On communities online and talk canon storylines. It’s almost Gab’s annual tradition at this point. She even asked fans what Isis might be up to in 2024. While fans theorized that Isis is an accomplished prosecutor or Beyoncé’s choreographer, we’ve been waiting for confirmation for an official storyline.

Union told an outlet in 2023 that the film’s sequel was still in development. “We’ve been developing a sequel forever.” Two years in, we’re getting Freaky Friday and Princess Diaries sequels, but not Bring it On. Yet Union kind of played us when she said, “But for folks who don’t exactly understand how long development can take in Hollywood, that could be five minutes or 50 years.

50 years would be cruel. Bring It On, the reunion needs to be real before the 26th anniversary. And no absentees.
