“I think so he can win. He just need to change a little bit. May be, trust more umm his teammates. I’m not saying because he do pass the ball but just get off the ball a little bit more. And because… but because of you know, if you have the ball so much in your hand you get tired and then it’s a long season and even in the playoffs you know umm I think so that’s too much,” Dragic stated.

Doncic has been the center of Mavericks’ 2024 plans. He has scored a whopping average of 33.9 points per game during the regular season. Playing a major role for the Mavericks, his efforts materialized when his team made it to the playoffs. Even during post season, he has soused with an average of 29 points per contest.

However, playing the alpha also has a negative side to it since the athlete has to be central to all tactics and plans. This in part sometimes becomes a little unnerving for the team specially when the main player is guarded or screened by defenders. During Game 3, though Doncic had lesser responsibility this was also reflected in his average score of 22 points. Now that the cat in the bag is out, Doncic would be looking to implement this great piece of advice and help his team reach the semi-finals.

It will be interesting to watch which team the Mavericks will clash with if they win over the Clippers.

Meanwhile, fans will glue to their screens to watch Doncic smash exceptional points. And hopefully, the Slovenian champion will heed Dragic’s advice to perform better.
