Ryan Garcia has landed himself in trouble again! After getting hit with a one-year suspension for testing positive for illegal substances, the boxer made a serious racist statement on social media. His comment has now caught the attention of NBA legend Stephen Jackson. After asking to put a lifetime ban on Garcia instead of one year, Jackson asked the boxer to get some help.

Garcia’s comment was on the tragic incident of George Floyd. Floyd was murdered by a policeman in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 2020. Taking to his social media, Jackson shared a clip where he can be seen saying, “Talking about you hate n**** you want to join the KKK you need to get some help bro because we don’t play by the same rules that you play by in that ring.”

Jackson was angered by the comment Garcia made on the popular app Clubhouse. He stated how the boxer was seeking attention in the wrong way and that he shouldn’t mention Floyd in his comment again.

He further added, “You’re a clout-chaser, that’s all you are. You’re looking for attention. You’re trying to live a life that you didn’t grow up in. You’re not that, Ryan. You’re a boxer. Stick to that, bro. Keep George Floyd’s name out of your mouth.”

Ryan Garcia is expelled by the World Boxing Council (WBC)

Soon, the World Boxing Council (WBC) took action and expelled him. “Exercising my authority as president of the WBC, I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with our organization. We reject any form of discrimination. I fear for Ryan well-being as he has declined multiple attempts for our help with mental health and substance abuse,” Mauricio Sulaiman, president of WBC declared on X.

Just a few days ago, the news of his one-year suspension was rocking the world. The New York State Athletic Commission shared the report of Garcia using illegal substances on June 19. His fight against David Haney was announced as ‘no contest.’ Along with a one-year suspension, Garcia was also fined $ 1.1 million.

Back then, Jackson expressed his disappointment with the entire cheating incident. The NBA legend took to social media to call out those supporting the boxer. Furthermore, he expressed disbelief over Garcia’s one-year suspension, stating the boxer should have received a lifetime ban. Things have since taken quite a different turn. What is your take on this?
