Scotty Pippen Jr. has stepped up. As the Memphis Grizzlies continued to hold their edge over the Oklahoma City Thunder at halftime, Pippen had been the most crucial, leading the team. While things didn’t end favourably for the Grizzlies, the fans continued to show their love and support for the team. And so did Pippen’s mother, Larsa Pippen. The former Warriors star made big demands for the RHOM actress. But that hasn’t stopped her from showing support for her kids. While the Grizzlies star’s mother couldn’t show up courtside, she is seen rooting for the team from afar.
This is, after all, Pippen’s chance. The 24-year-old had struggled to maintain his shooting pace in the 118-99 loss to the Thunder in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. He shot 5-for-21 from the field during the first two games of the series. But things have changed for Pippen in the must-win Game 3. He had already notched 23 points by halftime, reclaiming fans’ lost faith. As the Grizzlies held a massive lead of 20+ points over the OKC Thunder by that time, excited fans cheered for the team.
Pippen too shared a snippet of her TV screen showing Pippen’s game as she said, “ Lets go Scotty” to cheer for her son. She also made a heartfelt gesture in her second IG story. She shared a snap that Pippen is currently trending online and tagged her sister, Bella Youkhana. “Your nephew is trending,” she wrote.

Earlier during an interview with DJ Vlad, the former Warriors player demanded that Larsa change her last name, Pippen. He seemingly accused the RHOM actress of ruining both big names in the industry, Pippen and Jordan. She was married to Chicago Bulls player Scottie Pippen. This comes after Larsa dated Marcus Jordan. He also pointed out that her son is now playing in the NBA.
“This is crazy, like I can’t even say Pippen anymore. That Larsa—hey, can you please drop the good Pippen name? You’re just putting dirt on the Pippen name at this f—— point. The father’s clean, the f—— kids are amazing… Whatever blood you have in that Pippen—that not the Pippen but the Larsson blood gene—can you drop the Pippen name?” Arenas said.
Quite clearly, Pippen wasn’t fond of Arenas’ comment as DJ Vlad reported in the latest episode of Gil’s Arena. Regardless of the drama, Pippen is likely to keep her last name for her kids. All in all, Pippen Jr. had a great game however, the Grizzlies were handed defeat in the absence of the star player.

Ja Morant took a hard fall at Game 3 vs. the Thunder
The last two disappointing defeats have put great pressure on the team to show up in Game 3. Adding to the pressure, Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant exited the game early in the first half after a scary fall.
Halfway through the second quarter, Morant was on a roll with 15 points when things took a turn. As he went up for a dunk, Lu Dort undercut him, and Morant took a hard fall. He was taken to the locker room with Memphis leading 67-40. Morant did come back to take his free throws, but after missing his shots, he limped back to the locker room.

Following this, the team announced he would be out for the night with a hip injury. This isn’t the first. Morant had previously struggled with his hip injuries, which led to other issues. The Memphis Grizzlies had a great chance, leading by 26 points at halftime against OKC with a score of 77-51. As said, Pippen Jr. was marvelous. He had 28 points and 5 rebounds to lead the team.
However, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder soon took over. The star player had 31 points and had help from four other players who added double-digit points, winning the game 114-108.
