How did Charles Barkley battle weight gain?

Charles Barkley discussed his incredible weight-loss journey in an interview with Jimmy Traina of Sports Illustrated. The Philadelphia 76ers legend, after his hip-surgery surgery, gained a lot of weight. The reason behind his weight gain was mainly his lack of mobility and lousy eating habits. It was important for the NBA legend to shed weight to live a healthy life ahead.?

When asked about his journey, Barkley stated, ?I’m down seventy, you know. I started at 352, and I’m 285. Now I’m gonna get to two seventy. My plan weight was two fifty, but I’m gonna get to 270.? Barkley credits his remarkable journey to his doctor and the drug she prescribed, ?Manjaro.???

?You know, I got a great doctor. She started me on this drug, Manjaro. I think we started in November if I remember correctly.” Upon being asked about the drug and the frequency of ‘shots’ he takes, Barkley stated, “I give myself a shot once a week… I don’t know what the drug does… It says something about regulate your blood sugar, which I have zero idea what that means.”

Driven by health concerns and advice from a doctor, Barkley aims to further trim down to 270 pounds, a milestone in his path to wellbeing. His determination serves as an inspiration as he seeks to drop another 15 pounds before the upcoming season.

?I was 285, and like I said, I want to lose another fifteen pounds, hopefully before the season starts.?
