Shaq has an Internet connection, 34 million Instagram followers, and late-night cravings. That’s a hilariously deadly combination. So when he hopped on to social media to provide some on-brand meme hilarity, fans had a lot to say. Funny as it was, fans were also left scratching their heads at the $500 million worth Shaquille O’Neal crowdfunding for tacos. But Big Aristotle fans are used to his shenanigans and know how to curb his late-night enthusiasm.

It started on Monday night. Shaq, who’s displaying an addiction to voiceover comedy on Reels lately, posted a demand, “cash app me i want some tacos.” It went with a Reel of the big man in massive Louis Vuitton sunglasses, sassily lip-syncing to a similar voice. “I would love for somebody to cash app me. I want to get me some tacos.”

Sandwich fanboying, Cheesecake Factory-loving, Big Chicken mogul with a personal chef, Shaquille O’Neal needing a Cashapp contribution to get his taco fix? Not to mention he’s on a major health streak to get into his 2006 NBA championship-winning shape. Shaq expressed his health journey of losing 25 lbs so far by controlling his diet and managing his untimely cravings with support from dieticians and nutritionists. But this is not about food. This is about laughter.

Shaq pulled it off without missing a beat as usual. If it isn’t obvious, it’s peak comedy already. Fans were left giggling, pointing out they can see the reflection of Shaq’s luxurious home in his sunglasses. So redundant asking for a taco sponsor there. And they had other funny gripes with his late-night demand too.

No takers for Taco Shaquille O’Neal

Whenever Shaq finds the squeakiest, accented voiceover contrasting his gruff mumble for his comedy, fans always question what’s going through the big noggin. Someone deduced that he, “must be drunk,” and others figured he was way past his bedtime and told him, “Go to sleep unc.”

Others reminded him it was the wrong day for tacos. “It’s Monday Shaq.” But we don’t know which time zone he is in and it could be Taco Tuesday somewhere. He also had to be reminded he’s a restaurant mogul among other things. “Shaq be wildin. Shaq you can buy a 100 mexican restaurants.”

His trusty righthand man DMac posted a GIF that summarized, “No, I cannot do it,” indicating he’s not helping Shaq. But others asked what kind of carne he liked to personally whip up some tacos. Some were just scared. “Wow! I should’ve stayed off Instagram until the morning ~ I’m going to hear this in my sleep.” Fortunately, Shaq’s not going to get off the Internet any time soon. Waiting on the Taco Tuesday update until then.
