Victor Wembanyama surely has something interesting up his sleeve this upcoming season. The Rookie of the Year raised the expectations surrounding him as he posted his workout session with NBA legend Jamal Crawford. While fans are thrilled to see the two work out together, a former NBA player pointed out a flaw.

Ex-Denver Nuggets player Kenyon Martin believes that the Frenchman can reap more benefits if he works out with someone such as Tim Duncan. “He’s 7’5, why he need that? Go train with Tim Duncan,” said Martin. On the other hand, his co-host Brandon Jennings argued how Crawford would help instill something new and different in Wembanyama.

Justifying his previous statement, Martin said, “There’s a lot of the people that he could have went to seek knowledge from at this point and get to Jamal Crawford let’s learned that bank shot let’s learn face a motherf*** up, shoot this thing off the glass consistently.”

Martin isn’t the only one with this opinion. Another NBA legend also expressed his thoughts on the same.

What does Kevin Garnett think about Victor Wembanyama’s workout session with Jamal Crawford?

Unlike Martin, Boston Celtics legend Garnett is impressed with the Frenchman teaming up with Crawford. However, he also suggested Wembanyama train with three other significant former NBA players and veterans.

Both Martin and Garnett feel that Spurs legend Duncan who was known for his exceptional footwork and ball handling and swift moves will be able to help Wembanyama more in improving his skill set. He further named Hakeem Olajuwon, and Kevin Durant. While Crawford’s exceptional ball-handling skills will enhance the San Antonio Spurs star’s abilities, these three NBA legends can contribute more by teaching additional techniques.

If I am Wemby, I’m doing like a three-part. I work with Jamal Crawford, but then I go find Timmy (Tim Duncan). I go find Dream (Hakeem Olajuwon). He needs to be out there KD (Kevin Durant)…I’m talking about he needs to go tap into some knowledge. He needs to go see one Sensei,” Garnett said in The Ticket and The Truth.

The veterans’ insights came after Wembanyama’s post was circulated on social media. Previously, on The Dan Patrick Show, Crawford shared how Wembanyama is always eager to learn new things. The former Chicago Bulls player highlighted that such subtle features hint at his potential to become one of the greatest NBA players.
