Great News For Kobe Bryant and Nike as Isaiah Thomas’ NBA Return Set to Boost Presence

The deadly trio of Phoenix Suns is all set to add a former NBA veteran to their roster, and it is none other than Isaiah Thomas. The 35-year-old point guard is the expected missing piece of the team, who can play the role of a true point guard for the Suns. Notably, his return to the NBA will not only be beneficial for the 7th-seed Suns but also for the late Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.
Nike has been actively promoting the famous sneakers of the 5x champion for quite some time now. Vanessa Bryant has played an important role in bringing these sneakers back into the market. However, before Vanessa, it was Isaiah Thomas who was endorsing them by wearing some of the best collections in the NBA. During his prime years with the Boston Celtics before 2017, the 5’9 guard used to sport some of the best Kobe PEs (Personal Editions) that made the fans jealous.
Thomas has signed a 10-day contract now, after playing just four games for Salt Lake City in the NBA G-League. With Vanessa continuously announcing new sneaker lines for the Black Mamba, Nike can take advantage of Thomas’ return to the league.

Thomas has worn only Kobe’s sneakers throughout his NBA career as a tribute to his favorite player. While KB didn’t allow everyone to fill his shoes, the LA champion did not have a problem with Thomas wearing it. In fact, Bryant gave the 5’9 guard high praise for one of his iconic playoff performances in 2017.

In 2017, Thomas was an offensive threat and he led the Celtics all the way to the Conference Finals. Although the postseason run came to an end there, Thomas made his mark in the league during the Conference SFs against the Washington Wizards. In game 2, which took place on May 2, 2017, Thomas dropped 53 points against the Wizards to take a 2-0 lead in the series. This is the best playoff game of his career and he also got his flowers from Bryant for this performance. Bryant shared a tweet, “He plays with #MambaMentality but he is now and forever will be known as the #MightyIT”.

Notably, Thomas wore a pair of Nike’s Kobe ADs during the game. The all-green sneakers turned out to become a lucky charm for him. He has used those shoes on several other occasions as well. Unknowingly, Thomas has been marketing these sneakers for a long time now. It is only because of his love for the ‘Black Mamba’, and it will definitely continue on his return too!
