The biggest star-studded party night in Los Angeles shined brighter, thanks to the presence of basketball sensation Dwyane Wade and his family. The Miami Heat champion and his wife Gabrielle Union joined their daughter Zaya at the Los Angeles LGBT Center event. To make it more radiant, fashion designer Donatella Versace was also in attendance. After presenting the Fall Winter 2024 collection of the $1 billion revenue-generating fashion brand Versace, Donatella also became the center’s first-ever global ambassador.

The fashion designer was seen smiling and posing alongside the Wade family. While Union wore a simple white dress, Zaya also looked stunning in her black gown. All in all, the Wade family exuded power and strength as they stood next to the designer. The event was jointly hosted by Wade and Versace.

As a part of the event, the Miami Heat icon and his family contributed $50,000 to the center. Both Donatella and Tinder CEO Faye Iosotaluno donated $50,000 to the cause as well.

“I feel so honored to be here tonight It’s so emotional for me – but also because I was stuck in the elevator. I thought I was never going to make it to this roof. But it’s an honor to be here.” said Versace after being dramatically saved from a trapped elevator during the event. Wade also shared a few words about the honor and said, “We stand with our daughter. We stand with our community. Everybody here today, I think we all have something in common, and that one thing we have in common is we all want to be accepted. We all want acceptance.

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union support their daughter Zaya Wade

Since Zaya came out as transgender in 2020, both Wade and his wife Union have done their best to learn more about their daughter. At the same time, the family has tried their best to share the knowledge with the society as well. It was Gabrielle who held Zaya’s hands when she was scared to come out to her father. Then Wade joined in to support her too. The 3x NBA champ fought against criticism and even battled a legal fight against his ex-wife to ensure that his daughter lives her life proudly. He filed a petition to get Zaya’s name and gender changed and constantly fought until he made it happen.

Even now, the Wade couple continues to shower their love and support on their daughter. Both were seen sitting in the front row during Zaya’s debut runway show for Miu Miu. This latest event hosted by Wade was one more chance for the family to show their love and support for Zaya.
