In 2020, Dwyane Wade was enjoying the early days of his retirement as he took a walk with a friend down a beach. Little did he know that he would end up being a part of hilarious but wholesome interactions with strangers.

While he was taking a walk at the beach, he ended up unknowingly ‘photo-bombing’ a stranger couple’s engagement picture. The former NBA star’s hilarious candid expression was caught on the camera. In an Instagram post by “theleaguesource” from 2020, you can see the interaction unfold.

After the hilarious interaction, things get even more bizarre when Dwyane Wade reposts the Instagram post on his story. He said, “I need y’all marriage to work. It’s now on my conscious haha”.

The 3x NBA champion visibly seems to be in a much happier place after his retirement, both professionally and personally. However, things weren’t always good between Dwyane Wade and his wife.

When a guilt-ridden Dwyane Wade wanted to ‘leave’ his wife 

In 2013, Dwyane Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union-Wade were on a ‘break’ as they were dealing with a number of issues in their relationship. However, it was soon found out that Dwyane Wade had been unfaithful to his wife and had also fathered a child with another woman.

The NBA couple has moved past that rough phase in their relationship as the two seem to have worked out their differences over the span of the last 10 years. However, Dwyane Wade had mentioned his side of the story regarding the incident, a few months ago on a podcast episode.

In an interview with Shannon Sharpe , he admitted that he “tried to break up” with his now-wife out of guilt, instead of coming clean. However, he did come clean to his now-wife about his conceiving his son Xavier, now 9, with “Basketball Wives” star Aja Metoyer. 

He further mentions in the interview how blessed he was to have his wife, Gabrielle Union-Wade, stick with him through this tough phase. Today, the couple is in a much better place mentally and emotionally.
