O’Neal himself shared the story about his mother?s friendship with Sir Charles’ mother Charcey Glenn and how the two NBA players were connected long before their appearance as NBA analysts. During a game, the two legends were involved in a fight. And soon after that, the 4x NBA champion got a call from someone.?

Recalling the incident, O?Neal shared, ? Me and Charles had an incident in Houston where we had a fight so as I get to the locker room it’s a phone somebody wants to talk to you it was Charles? mother on through with my mother and they had been best friends for years I never knew that.”

He added, “And she?s like you all need to stop fighting you need to go don?t take a shower go in down there and walk in and give Charles a hug you all are brothers.?

Lucille O?Neal and Charles Glenns? tight bond

The two ladies shared a great friendship. They often used to hang out together and go on trips around the world as well. In the video, ‘Big Diesel’ stated how the two ladies would often spend their time playing cards. Even the players were inspired by the tight bond their mothers shared.?

In the year 2015, Barkley?s mother, Charcey Glenn, passed away due to kidney failure at the age of 73. Sir Charles mentioned how O?Neal?s mother was a constant companion of his mother during the tough time. The two were best friends for 30 years.
