Why did Dwight Howard’s ex-partner leave the show that made her famous?

Royce Reed was recently interviewed by VladTV. During her conversation, the host asked her why she was not part of season 5 of the reality show Basketball Wives.

Royce had been part of the show since season 1. Although the show revolved around drama among the members, Reed finally had enough of it when it shifted from how it used to be. “The show is negative,” she claims.

She gained popularity through the show. This led to her eventually starting her own dance school. In her school, she would always tell young girls to take care of themselves and to never let anyone make you sacrifice who you really are. But she felt that being in the show was showing the exact opposite to the kids.

But the longer Reed was in the show, the more she felt she was contradicting her own beliefs and that she was not being a good role model for the kids. So she left the show after its fourth season. Royce Reed said, “I am on the show, and I am essentially part of the problem. I was part of the problem for 4 seasons. But I finally walked away, and I think that’s the best decision that I have made.”
