What do you think about Dwyane Wade as a coach? At home, he is the best husband and a doting father to his kids. He does pedicure and manicure sessions to bond with his kids as well as give them life lessons. And when it comes to his daughter failing in one particular skill, the father quickly transformed into a coach too. And we’re not talking about a basketball game. As Gabrielle Union recalled, D-Wade became an expert only to guide her.

Last month was quite eventful for the Wades. One of those moments was Kaavia’s debut performance at the Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks game on Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’. The little one’s adorable performance received a lot of love. But what really happened before the performance? Union revealed that there was a problem before the debut that almost stopped Kaavia from making the debut.

Union shared that the family was excited for Kaavia to perform before the matchup, and they all expected proper classes for it. Unfortunately, they were handed a video from which Kaavia had to learn. “They sent us with a video to learn this two plus minute routine. It’s a long time. She’s never done anything more than a minute. So we’re on vacation, like with this video and we’re like, I guess we’ll watch it 30 minutes a day. And it got to her. She wasn’t really progressing. And he (Wade) was like, we got to pull her,”  Union said on her interview with The View.

While Union urged her on, Wade turned into a dance coach for his daughter. He watched the video repeatedly and coached her. He probably knows the dance steps by heart. “He was like ‘okay!’ then he turns into Debbie Allen. He had this child watching that dang video…She loves to performance and she’s very serious about it. Not as serious as him. He was like you want fame? right here is where you start,” Union said.

And when the debut day came, the father was clearly more nervous than Kaavia. Union even mimicked the way Wade danced on the sidelines in case Kaavia forgot her steps. Luckily, she didn’t and had the best time. And while Wade is quite competitive, there’s a lot that the parents too might need to learn from Kaavia.

Kaavia was upset over her parents’ one inability

You can be a brilliant actress or an incredible basketball player. But do you know how to sing The Twelve Days of Christmas? If not, it’s hard to get little Kaavia’s approval. During the Christmas celebration, Union shared a hilarious clip where Kaavia was quite clearly frustrated that her parents didn’t know how to sing the song.

“You’re not doing it right,” she said as her hands went up in the air in frustration. When Wade tried explaining that they were simply trying to learn the lyrics, Kaavia urged that they “could learn the words with the song when it’s playing.” Their friends on the table were trying their best to learn the song.

And as the Miami Heat legend asked, “They got a new version of this?” Kaavia responded with a hilarious eye-roll. As competitive as Wade is, he might already be an expert in both the dance and the song! And it also shows how DWade doesn’t mind turning into a dance coach when his daughters needs.
