This season hasn’t been good so far for the Golden State Warriors. The Stephen Curry-led team is having one of their worst seasons and is caught up in several issues apart from games. Recently Charles Barkley talked about the Warriors and their current state and the NBA veteran didn’t mince his words while doing so.

Sir Charles, in his typical style, bashed the Warriors for everything that’s wrong with them and pointed out an important element that might be contributing to the downfall of their legacy.

Charles Barkley lashes out at the Warriors

Charles started off with the Draymond Green situation and expressed his disappointment in him. He said, “What Draymond has got to do is, number 1 he’s got to stop doing stupid stuff first and foremost”. Barkley also said that times have changed now, both in the league and for the Warriors, so someone like Green needs to trade differently. He said, “You can do all the stupid stuff you want to when you’re winning. When you start losing, it becomes stupid stuff. That’s what all players have to learn.” Green has been involved in several on-court brawls recently and that has led to his suspension.

Barkley said that the Warriors “stink” and they need to regroup and work on their strategies if they want to save face by the end of this season. He said that even last season, they got lucky in the playoffs because Steph saved them in game 7, otherwise they would’ve had another thing to worry about on their recent report card. The NBA veteran believes that Steph has been covering up for the whole team not only from the game perspective but also as an overall look of the team.

The problem for the Warriors is that even Steph is getting older and he can’t carry the team as well as he used to. Barkley emphasized the topic and said, “Last week he had like 8 points for the first half, ’cause he’s getting tired, he’s older now. He can’t get 35 a night and cover up all their flaws”.

Barkley said that Green is acting like an “idiot” and is hurting his team by his actions. The Warriors are currently in the #12th position on the Western Conference charts with a record of 17-20. With all the issues that they’re dealing with, till they don’t find a way out, this season looks like a big letdown for the Dub Nation.
