Working as a basketball analyst for almost 14 years now, the former NBA forward Jalen Rose is looking for a career change. Rose played for 6 different teams throughout his 13-year career in the NBA. However, the most notable thing is his playing alongside the iconic Reggie Miller, the first Indiana Pacer who started in an NBA All-Star Game in 1995.

In 2007, Rose started working as a sports analyst for ABC and ESPN in shows like – NBA Countdown and Get Up! Moreover, he has co-hosted the ESPN talk show – Jalen & Jacoby with David Jacoby. Among his many television endeavors, he is now taking his career in a refreshing new direction.

During his time at the NBA, Jalen established a rock-hard career professional career. Jalen aided the Indiana Pacers back on their feet post-1996-97 season. In the 1999-2000 season, Jalen averaged 18.2 points per game and became the first player in eight years who led the Pacers.

Now, Jalen recently posted his picture on X (formerly Twitter). In the picture, he is seen wearing a tux with his hands joined together and a beautiful smile on his face. He captioned the photo – “Suited and Booted.” Asking people on the social media handle with a title – “Should I run for Mayor or Governor??”

But, what did he do after his 13-year career in the NBA?

Rose after retirement

Prior to his retirement, Rose had already started working for TNT as a Sideline Reporter for the 2006 NBA Playoffs. He took retirement from the NBA in the year 2007. Since then, he has worked at ABC and ESPN. Initially, he started as an analyst on a daily sports news program – SportsCenter.

Further, in 2012, he became one of the hosts of a pregame television show – NBA Countdown, that aired prior to NBA telecasts on ESPN and ABC.

Interestingly, Rose owns an independent management and production company – ‘Three Tier Entertainment.’ It was created in 2007. The company develops film and television projects along with managing talents which include – directors, actors, and screenplay writers.

Consecutively, in 2011, he also produced an ESPN documentary called – The Fab Five, which became ESPN’s highest-rated documentary earning a rating of 2.1. Besides being a former NBA player, a reporter, and an analyst, he has also tried his hand as a writer. Evidently, he released a book about his personal life story with the title – Got to Give the People What They Want.
