Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson is one of the most anticipated fights this year. With less than three months to go, celebrities have started to pick sides and the latest to join is none other than Gilbert Arenas. The former Washington Wizards guard has been very active on various social media platforms, sharing viral takes through his podcast. Similarly, this time, Arenas joined YouTuber VLADTV to choose between Paul and Tyson. However, the highlight of the interview was Arenas ensuring the safety of Paul.

The 3x All-Star sharedI hope there are some stipulations into that clause. That is what I am hoping. I am hoping there are rules that protect Jake Paul. The Youtuber turned boxer has participated in 7 fights. On the other hand, Mike Tyson has one of the most decorated resumes and has dropped some of the best fighters in the world. That scares Arenas more.

He continued, “Yeah, he[Tyson] is 57. But is he? Is he really 57? Is his punching power 57? No!” Tyson is coming out of retirement, but Arenas believes he is still capable of throwing punches that could be dangerous. The former Wizards star added, “He probably hits three times harder than Jake Paul can possibly ever hit. I will hope Jake Paul is on some type of steroids. Not to punch back Tyson. That s*** ain’t gonna work.”

Arenas wants Jake Paul to take steroids so that he can absorb Tyson’s mind-bobbling punches. He said, “You are talking about a dude who probably hit like mad truck then. Still hitting like an F150 today. Jake Paul body is not built for what Tyson throws.” Arenas is clearly siding with Tyson here, but Paul, on the other hand, not only thinks he can absorb punches from Iron Mike but also can dish out a few.

Jake Paul is confident he can “knock” Mike Tyson’s teeth out

Paul, who weighs 198 pounds, believes he can give Mike Tyson a great fight. He told Fox News, “He can’t bite my ear off if I knock his teeth out. I’m the faster man. He’s the much stronger man, but I’m fresh. He’s experienced. I’m smart but in the ring, he may be smarter, so it’s a really interesting match-up.” Paul agrees that Tyson is a stronger man than him. That is the same thing Arenas is highlighting.

Another NBA icon to talk about this fight was Paul Pierce. The Boston Celtics champion had a totally contrasting take. He believes the above fight will be “scripted”. He shared in his podcast, The Truth Lounge, “This event right here is definitely gonna be scripted. They gonna talk about what they gonna do, and they gonna be trained to deliver, just like wrestling.” Many like Arenas and Pierce have tuned in to share their ideas about this match up. We’ll find out who turns out the victor on July 20.
