Instead, Wade picked Philadelphia 76ers legend Allen Iverson, drawing attention to the inspiration of The Answer. A day or two after the ceremony, Wade joined the 2023 Hall of Fame class on the SKWEEK show. San Antonio Spurs legend Tony Parker asked how it felt during the ceremony “wearing that beautiful orange jacket.”

Wade began, “Like, you watch Hall of Famers put on their jackets. And that’s their big moment.” But for Dwyane, it was special for a whole different reason.

“That jacket got put on by my father and my son, the three generations of wades,”?elaborated the Miami Heat legend. The moment was more significant for D-Wade because it involved his family.

Over the years of seeing Hall of Famers receive their jackets, he realized that this was the peak, and having his father and son put the jacket on him signified three generations of Wades united in basketball greatness.
