After leading the Heat to three championship titles in the past two decades he’s considered one of the greatest franchise players in the history of the Miami Heat. A recent social media incident has come forward which took place in 2009 highlights Wade’s will to walk the talk.

Dwyane Wade hopped on the craze for internet when the social media was still coming along. Dwyane Wade was known to be a massive asset on both ends of the court. It was recently revealed that Wade made a special promise to a young fan of his on social media around fifteen years back.
Dwyane Wade wrote a message on Facebook to a user in 2009 which went unread. A part of the message read, “So we have a little over 20 games left in the season… tomorrow we go up against Utah and will go for another win… it will be good to see some of my Olympic teammates… after the game we leave to go on a long road trip- its always tough to go on the road… but we’re focused and we know that every game counts…”

The Facebook user shared the message that he hadn’t read from Wade 14 years ago. Wade had made it clear that he was going to give it his all in order to win an away trip to Utah. Wade definitely came up big in that game as he scored a massive 50 points while playing for more than 50 minutes. He also had ten rebounds and nine assists and won the game. Wade retired in the year 2019. On seeing a guy like LeBron James one might assume that Wade could have gone on for a few more years.

Why did Dwyane Wade decide to retire
Dwyane Wade made it clear that he was mentally done with basketball. After spending more than a decade on the court the pressure on a player increases exponentially. Wade said, “To keep the mental strong…that’s one of the hardest parts. Mentally you lose it quicker than even physical sometimes…like mentally I was done really, I had two-three more years.”

Dwyane Wade opened up that he was just not ready to play more basketball as every ounce of basketball left his body after 16 years of dominating the court.
