The 34-year-old forward recently became the talk of the town when a video of him showcasing his own island, called the ‘Bullock Island’, went viral. Where is Reggie Bullock’s island located, and how much did it cost?

When you have more money than you can spend, bold purchases often follow. That’s exactly what Reggie Bullock did in 2022 when he bought a five-acre island in Belize, now known as Bullock Island. Though the former Houston Rockets forward made the purchase a few years ago, it’s only recently that fans and locals have started paying attention to his tropical investment.

However, contrary to popular opinion, the former NBA star’s purchase isn’t a stupid splurge but rather an investment.

“I’ve been looking for different things to invest my money in,” Bullock told Andscape. “I found an opportunity down in Belize where I purchased an island that was about five acres, that I’m going to put resort villas on. It’s a vacation spot for me and my family, where other people will be able to attend and enjoy different vacation activities.”

It’s safe to say that of all the investments the veteran forward could’ve made, buying an unknown island in Belize, reportedly for about $2 million, was probably one of, if not the boldest, moves he would’ve ever made. More so, because he spent a good amount of money to develop it as well. So, has this bold investment paid off for the former NBA forward?

How much is Bullock’s Island worth today? What makes it valuable?

Reggie Bullock initially paid about $2 million to purchase this exotic property in Belize. Now several years have passed, and it looks like it has been a great investment so far. The former first-round pick has established several villas and resorts on his property, which he rents out for vacations and stays.

These stays could range all the way from $1,200 for two nights to about $3,500. And as of writing, Bullock Island seems to be in quite demand, as most of the dates are booked out according to their website. So, it’s safe to say that Bullock is making good money off of his investment. As for the value of his property, has that increased as well?

Even though there is no reliable source to confirm this, that seems to be the case. Islands similar to the five-acre property that Reggie Bullock owns are selling in the range of $1.1 million to $3.6 million. By the looks of it, the veteran star has made a smart decision with his money. But he wouldn’t have been able to do it if it weren’t for his time in the NBA.

Reggie Bullock’s NBA career journey

Well, just like many other stars who have graced the league, Reggie Bullock’s journey in the league started after a successful college basketball career. After shining at the collegiate level for the University of North Carolina for three years, scoring 989 points in 100 games, Bullock declared for the draft, and his NBA career began. The talented forward was picked as the 25th overall pick by the LA Clippers in the 2013 NBA Draft.

Then, after two seasons, he was traded to the Suns, where he dabbled between the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League and the main team. After not finding much success with the Suns, Detroit was the next spot for Bullock, where he had some memorable performances. However, that ended in 2019, when the Los Angeles Lakers came calling.

But again, that partnership was short-lived. It was after this that Reggie Bullock spent the rest of his career as a journeyman playing for the likes of New York, Dallas, San Antonio, and lastly Houston. Although the forward did not have a lot of highlight moments during his career, he did make a lot of money throughout his NBA journey.

Reggie Bullock’s teamwise career earnings breakdown

What is Reggie Bullock’s net worth in 2025?

Well, even though Reggie Bullock made a fortune during his time in the league, it’s safe to say that he doesn’t have all of that saved up. A significant portion of his paychecks might’ve been used up by him to take care of his family and other necessities. Nonetheless, given that Bullock is a smart man who likes to invest, it’s safe to assume that he’s saved up a good amount, which brings his net worth close to $13 million.

Now that’s good, as the 34-year-old has enough money to enjoy not only the rest of his life but also spend it on his loved ones. More so, with his Bullock Island and other investments adding to his net worth.
