The closest we’ll see an individual with the “Jordan DNA” and someone with the Pippen name backstabbing each other on camera (The Last Dance is subjective) is here. The Traitors premieres bringing an old-school parlor mystery into something as unpredictable as the suspects themselves. How would a couple-turned-opponents do when one comes from a line of competitive athletes and the other is used to navigating murky reality TV waters? Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen tell the host, Alan Cumming how.

Marcus Jordan is stepping into realms no Jordan has ever done. At least not the Jordan. He’s banking on channeling Michael Jordan’s knack for winning. But His Airness was not playing against his girlfriends. Especially when Larsa Pippen quite comfortably says, “I feel like I want to be a Traitor.” That stone-cold declaration just made even the iconic Alan Cumming thrilled.

Marcus, a newbie to The Real Housewives of Miami, doesn’t have the experienced edge of intense reality competitions when other prospective traitors come from Survivor, The Challenge, and Big Brother. Given how Larsa handled the entire Geurdy Abraira debacle on RHOM, even she’s got the knack for deflection.

She even stated, “Being on the Real Housewives of Miami really made me learn how to watch my back.” Cumming reminded Marcus though, “Winning’s in your veins.” He agreed. “My Jordan DNA is definitely my upper advantage in this game.”

This is however The Traitors. And even couples betray each other.

Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen declare war

Out of the eerie walls of the Scottish location where The Traitor was filmed, LarCus has been dropping big hints of an engagement in the works and impending marriage. On The Traitor, they expressed their willingness to betray each other for the $250,000 prize.

When Cumming asked if she’d be okay (fake) murdering Marcus, Larsa blatantly said, “For a quarter of a million dollars, I’m going all the way.”

Marcus doesn’t mind. They both outlined their intents before entering the castle and between ‘Traitor and Faithful,” Marcus will choose to be a traitor. He’s relying on his natural charm too. “People like to gravitate towards me, so I can go undetected there.” He’ll even murder Larsa to be the winner if he has to.

As Alan Cumming said, “The only thing in the air for this basketball player is murder.” Beware of Marcus “Winning is my DNA” Jordan on season 2 of The Traitor on Peacock.
