Ever since last year, Iman Shumpert has been trending for non-basketball reasons. His personal life and messy divorce from his ex-wife Teyana Taylor were all over the news. Recently, both allegedly even tried to send each other behind bars. But it seems the former NBA champion is seemingly moving ahead with his professional career as an analyst. But even this time, the headlines are all about him.
The virality of the video was not because of his analysis, but his outfit choice. “Iman Shumpert, I’m never watching your live shots the same way ever again 🤣.” First, this tweet from a user exploded on X and has over 377k views. In this video, we can see the 34-year-old giving his input before the Western Conference finals game 4. Yes, the people watching at home saw him in a suit, a shirt, and a tie, nothing wrong so far. But the audience in the arena caught him wearing basketball shorts.
“Iman Shumpert was really doing pregame interviews in shorts 😭💀.” Bleacher Report video on Instagram has over 1.3 million views. An Instagram user shared this video on his story and asked the former NBA champion, “I need some answers lol“. The former Cavs star did reply and also plugged in his current gig for which he wore this outfit.

After legal troubles with Iman Shumpert, Teyana Taylor is all set for the launch of legal drama
In 2023, the news about the trouble in paradise of the couple surfaced as their divorce settlement reports started flooding the internet. The actress felt that it was her former partner who leaked the details and filed a motion a few months ago. As per the reported motion, Taylor asked for her ex-husband to be jailed for up to 20 days. However, there is another twist. After the news broke of Teyana’s motion for contempt, the singer took to Instagram to deny she wanted Iman Shumpert in jail. “I never tried to send Iman to jail. I’m still not trying to send Iman to jail.”
Moving on from those issues, Taylor will now star in “All’s Fair,” which will be out later this year. The teaser for the highly anticipated legal drama was released a few weeks ago and features the reality star Kim Kardashian among a star-studded cast. The new series, which is written and executive-produced by Ryan Murphy and produced by 20th Television, will arrive this fall. Apart from SKIMS founder, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts and Elizabeth Berkley star as lawyers.

The series follows a team of female divorce attorneys who “leave a male-dominated firm to open their own powerhouse practice,” according to a synopsis. Sarah Paulson as Carrington Lane, Teyana Taylor as Milan, and Matthew Noszka as Chase Munroe complete the star cast. So, despite their personal troubles, both Taylor and Shumpert are making huge strides to leave the debacle behind.
