The NBA season is starting off in October. Which means the Inside Guys are preparing their suits for the TNT studio. Or in Shaquille O’Neal‘s case, he’s preparing boxing gloves on the side. A highlight of the NBA season is seeing the banter on Inside the NBA. Shaq’s getting a head-start when his mortal enemy is not around to defend himself.

Big Diesel didn’t mince his words about The Round Mound of Rebound while on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show.’ Though it might sound appalling, Shaq’s promise of violence had a whole studio laughing.

Shaquille O’Neal has sweet words for Charles Barkley

O’Neal was on Jennifer Hudson’s talk show when she brought up his best friend’s appearance on the same show. Here’s a refresher, Charles Barkley was on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show‘ in March 2023. He showed off his superior rebounding techniques that earned him his title. However, the very mention of the Philadelphia 76ers legend elicited a certain reaction out of Shaq. “I don’t know who that is,” he straight up said about a co-host of 12 years.

After that initial denial, J-Hud insisted that Charles Barkley is “your best friend.” So Shaq responded with, “I hate Chuck.”

He’d take off his glasses and look at the camera like he’s looking into his nemesis’ soul and said, “Charles I hate you. When I come to work next week, I’mma punch you right in the face.”

Despite that meanness, Hudson and her live studio audience were in stitches. Shaq would restore his gentlemanly facade with a quick apology to her but none of that chivalry extends to Barkley.

A little later he’d look down on Barkley’s rebounding skills that he personally showed to Hudson months ago. He was once again feeling sorry for the ‘trauma’ Hudson had to go through because of his fellow Inside Guy.

Shaq and Chuck will kickstart a new season of taunts and jabs when TNT starts its regular NBA season broadcasts. O’Neal has been making all sorts of plans to get under Barkley’s skin. Some more petty than a punch to the face.

Shaq’s evil schemes for Chuck

Ever since Shaquille O’Neal became a regular panelist on Inside the NBA in 2011, he’s seized every opportunity inside and outside the TNT broadcast to annoy Barkley.

Perhaps he’s caught Barkley’s retirement plans before his contract is up and that’s why he’s upped the ante while Barkley is still sitting across him.

Previously he revealed he is going to prank Barkley by switching out his toothpaste with the Shaq-endorsed Icy Hot pain relief cream. He’s going to keep sharing these sinister plans till they’re face-to-face next week.

It’s promising to be an old Western stand-off at this point. Are you looking forward to another season of Shaq vs Chuck?
