Do we have a new Jay-Z in the NBA world?

As the regular season approaches, the dynamic duo of Big Ticket and Paul Pierce continues to captivate their audience with their profound insights into the game. While he mentioned several players, including Victor Wembanyama and others, Shai held a special place in Garnett’s judgment. Drawing a comparison between him and the rap icon Jay Z, Garnett stated, “He the Jay Z of the game. When everybody was cracking, 50 came in, ‘G Unit, yeah.'”

While Garnett stood firmly behind his viewpoint, Pierce had a contrasting perspective. In his view, LeBron James is the Jay Z of the NBA. Pierce said, “Nah, he too young. Bron is Jay Z.”

Who do you believe truly embodies the spirit of the $2.5 million rich Jay Z of the game? Considering Shai’s resilience in the face of injuries, making such a determination is indeed challenging. Garnett also lauded Shai’s performance last year.

Kevin Garnett thinks Shai would have won the MVP last year

Last year Shai put up MVP-level stats, and in a typical season, he might have won the Michael Jordan Trophy. However, with many players averaging 30+ points, Shai couldn’t make it.?

Garnett also has the same opinion. Taking to his Twitter, he wrote, “Those are MVP type numbers in a normal year that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is puttin’ up in OKC.” He added, “and it?s high IQ and? efficient than a mf! These young guys are gonna do the league right. We good?”
