Boston Celtics legend praised Michael Jordan’s legendary work ethic

Back in his playing days, Kevin Garnett had a crazy workout routine and an aggressive playing style. Just like Jordan, he was also known for playing with competitors’ minds and trash-talking. When he was drafted in the year 1995, he had the opportunity to battle against the Chicago Bulls icon he idolized growing up.

Praising MJ’s work ethic, Garnett shared a clip on his Instagram stories. It featured MJ hard at work, with the caption saying, “It took 7 years before Michael Jordan ever won an NBA championship and came to lose multiple times… that led Micheal to ask the services of @timgrover who helped Michael Jordan become stronger physically and ultimately win 6 NBA championships as well as 6 finals MVP.”

In his story, Garnett wrote, “WORK WORK THEN WORK SOME MORE.. When all this fails WORK.. put in the work to get the results u want!!” His Airness proved that what seemed an overnight success to others was years of hard work and sacrifices put in by him. He even faced failure before entering the NBA.

Was Michael Jordan rejected by his high school team?

Quite a tough thing to digest, but that’s correct. The basketball legend was rejected by his high school team during his freshman year. However, he never stopped working hard for what he wanted. It took him seven years to win the championship and he never looked back.

During his early days in the NBA, he faced the terrific and fierce Detroit Pistons who were specially designed to beat Jordan. His passion and desire to be stronger than his past self ultimately drove him to his first championship title in 1991. What are your thoughts on this story? Let us know in the comments below.
