A future NBA star is one year closer. Isaiah Thomas is celebrating his son’s 12th birthday with the sweetest message. Jaiden Thomas aka Killa was born on January 29, 2012. He’s famously featured in NBA star dad’s career in the most epic moments. Including that day he memefied IT’s height. So fans have a special connection with Thomas’ son.
That showed when Isaiah wrote heartfelt words for Jaiden. “Happy 12th birthday to my son Jaiden! I love you big boy, continue to grow and flourish in the life that you live. Your dope personality and amazing energy rubs off on any and everything you come across. Keep being that LIGHT to the world killa #12 #SLOWGRIND.”

It accompanied adorable pictures of Jaiden through the years. These throwbacks not only look like Jaiden Thomas is a bonafide NBA player in the making but he’s also got style and music chops for a diversified career. But he’s still a tween, so no pressure!
Basketball has always been a family affair for Isaiah Thomas. He’s had his dad, James Thomas Sr., spurring him throughout his career and then his sons, Jaiden and James accompanying him to media events. Isaiah enjoys playing the role his dad did for him through his playing career.
The most memorable moment was when Jaiden and James Jr. took over IT’s Boston Celtics press conference. They raced the pro to the mic to declare, “Isaiah is the greatest basketball player.” Then 5-year-old Jaiden even bullied Jae Crowder at practice.

A clip of his recent school game went viral among the NBA community online who think teams should sign the other Little Thomas already. It’s not only his 2x All-Star dad training him. He’s got superstar uncles mentoring him too.

Jaiden Thomas was not forgotten by his honorary uncles. Jamal Crawford commented, “Tell nephew happy birthday!!” Abdul Gaddy also wrote, “HBD young king!”
Both share Husky connections with Jaiden’s dad. The senior James’ proudest moment was the day Isaiah – who he named after Isiah Thomas hoping for greatness like Zeke for his son – earned a scholarship to play with the Washington Huskies. He played alongside Gaddy who went on to play in the G-League.

Washington native, Crawford met Thomas in the University of Washington open gym and became his mentor ever since. Crawford would often drive hours to Thomas’ games and IT would live with him and attend Knicks games. Years later, they’d be opponents on the NBA court but their friendship still lasts.
