Speaking of Jordan’s game, a Boston Celtics legend recently shared his experience playing against the Hall of Famer.

Utah Jazz executive and former NBA star Danny Ainge and his Airness shared the same love for the game of golf. The two often got together for a round of golf. They were competitors on the court and on the golf course. In a recent podcast, Ainge spoke about his NBA Finals experience against the Bulls.

Danny Ainge on the NBA Finals against the Chicago Bulls

It was one of the most significant games and with Danny Ainge on the roster, the Portland Trail Blazers were?quite a formidable team. During the ?Knuckleheads Podcast,? the two-time NBA champion recounted his memory of the 1992 NBA Finals. Ainge noted that his teammates believed that they had a chance to win the ring. However, the Bulls clinched the title in game-6 as his team let the lead slip away in the dying minutes.

Talking about the game, he shared, ?They inbounded to Scottie. Charles goes for the steal, doesn’t get it. Scottie starts penetration, I see him hit Horace and I?m like I’m gonna fly down to tackle Horace.”

He continued, “Let me like grab him from behind and make him shoot free throws and hot potato to Paxson, my man. And it’s like,’Oh my gosh! Are you kidding me!’. But yeah the game was; it was a crazy game, but the Bulls were, they were special.”?

He narrated some more intriguing details of the game and stated the Bulls were great at defense and contained Portland in the final stretch of the game. Despite losing the finals to the Bulls, the Celtics veteran praised the Bulls and Jordan?s game.

When the host asked him about Michael Jordan, Danny Ainge happily recounted his memory of golfing with him. The Last Dance series showed how the two athletes went golfing during the NBA Play-off series as well.?Admiring the 5x NBA MVP, he said that MJ was the best player in every series he?s ever played in his whole career. He added that this separates him from other All-Time greats.
