Being a celebrity has its own set of challenges. Their lives differ from those of a regular person. Even with their busy lives, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union started dating back in 2009. As they were unable to manage their busy schedule and make time for each other, the couple took a break in 2013. But an unfortunate news followed the couple, even though they decided to get back together a few months later.

Aja Metoyer has been on the receiving end of all the hate from fans for having a baby with Wade during his breakup with Gabrielle Union. Four years later, she opened up about her side of the story.

Aja Metoyer wants Wade’s son to be happy

Aja Metoyer revealed her side of the story to OK Magazine in 2018. During the interview, she said that she has been getting a lot of negative comments and hate from fans. Metroyer did not use Wade to become famous. She already had two children with actor Damon Wayans. Both Wade and Metroyer were single in 2013 for some time, and that is when they got together.

But they conceived a baby before Wade got back together with Union. When the news was made public, Metoyer was called ‘a mistress’ and the child was called a ‘break baby’.

This did not sit well with Metoyer, and she said, “I think that a little bit of mathematics needs to be done. I’ve known the person ten years. My son is not a break baby. He’s almost four. Do the math“. She then went on to explain that she never wanted to be involved in or ruin the relationship between Wade and Union.

Metoyer then said, “I’ve never been a mistress, side chick… any of those things“. She has gone through the pain of getting cheated on by her partner so she would never do that to someone else. Metoyer is not happy with all the hate that she and her son, Xavier Wade, are receiving from fans.

Wade and Union decided to get back together towards the end of 2013. A few months later, Wade proposed to Union. But they had to face unfortunate news together. And once the Heat legend found out about Metoyer being pregnant, he had to go through a tough time.

Wade had a conversation with Union and revealed the truth to her. Wade said in an interview that confessing his actions to Union was tougher than playing in the NBA finals. He was ready to end the relationship because of the baby, but when she heard the truth from Wade, Union decided to support him and be with him.
