Almost 19 years after retiring from the NBA, Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller is now making his way to the small screen. But this time it is not from behind the scenes as a broadcaster or an analyst, but rather acting, in the latest State Farm commercial. He is also joined by NBA superstar Jimmy Butler and basketball sensation Caitlin Clark.

Miller, who is often spotted cruising on his bicycles during his free time, is now promoting the largest motor insurance company in the United States. In the commercial, a family hits their car on a barricade post, and they exclaim, “shoot!” This summons Caitlin Clark to the location, ready to shoot the basketball, while the next “shoot” brings in the Miami Heat forward.
As the two sing the State Farm jingle to fix the couple’s problem, everyone’s favorite Jake from State Farm spawns on the screen. But he says, “You can file a claim for a new car or even that old Pacer” while looking at a 1977 AMC Pacer. This, to everyone’s surprise, brings the 58-year-old Reggie Miller to the screen.
After playing for the Indiana Pacers for his entire life, no one in the NBA can match the impact that Miller has had on the team and the organization. But following his retirement from the NBA, Miller found a new passion.

Reggie Miller’s passion takes him off the road
Reggie Miller has taken on mountain biking as a new way to spend his free time. Miller, who spent 18 years in the NBA, finds this extremely different from what he is used to.
He said, “It’s a little different from basketball, because a lot of times, in my training, I’m solo, it’s just you and the bike and the equipment and the climbs, the intervals.” Miller’s passion for mountain biking even got him featured in Mountain Flyer Volume 79.
