Many expect Paige Bueckers to be the number 1 consensus pick for the 2025 draft pick. She has been performing with 19.6 points per season, but the next player in line has taken the world by storm. Another college star, Olivia Miles, is not only putting up huge numbers but also joining Caitlin Clark in a few feats. The Notre Dame player has also turned out to be a true floor general. And on her special day, she received motivating messages from none other than Kevin Garnett.

“MS O is like that..shorty nice.” The Celtics legend added the message to his story alongside a post that celebrated Miles’ birthday. “Everyone Help Us Wish A Happy Bday To The Point Goddess And Future Lottery Pick!! @_oliviamiles_.” The post was a compilation of the senior guard’s majestic passes, beyond-the-arc shooting, and some ankle-breaking dribbling. Basically, presenting the Fighting Irish star as a whole package ready to take on the WNBA.
Even Olivia Miles reacted to that post and commented, “(pink heart emoji) (crossed fingers emoji) (white heart emoji).” With her dropping 16.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.9 assists with 53.6 FG% and 43.6 from 3-point shooting range. The latter percentage is an upgrade from the previous season’s 22.8. The journey has been even more enthralling because of the way she has bounced back after missing the entire 2023-24 season with a knee injury.

This is why Kevin Garnett and others are fans of the Bleacher Report’s mock draft overall number 2 pick. On the reel, even Jamal Crawford dropped his comments, “The one!!” Not far behind, celebrating the young star was Jeff Teague with, “She cold.” Miles even got more boost a few days ago when 3x WNBA champion shared encouraging words.
Apart from Kevin Garnett, even ‘Ace’ is a fan of the 22-year-old
Notre Dame guard has recently made history, becoming the first collegiate women’s player to record back-to-back triple-doubles. The last player to achieve that was Caitlin Clark and now Miles has been the first to join the elite club since. After those elite performances, Candace Parker recently called the 5 feet 10 inch guard her favorite player.

“My favorite player to watch in college basketball is Olivia Miles,” In conversation with BRW Sports, the WNBA legend stated her preference. “I think she is the one player that is gonna really surprise, a lot of people in the next level because her game is just like–WNBA ready, The way she moves, the way she plays, the way she makes people around her better. So… Olivia Miles.”

Even though there is a lot of basketball yet to be played for the Fighting Irish star, the comments from Parker surely be confidence-boosting. Not to forget the praise from Jamal Crawford and Kevin Garnett, who also are big fans of Miles.
