Mike Bibby joined the league fresh off an NCAA Championship in 1997. He went 2nd overall and 40 selections later, the Phoenix Suns drafted Stephen Jackson. 25 years later, the draftmates re-united on ‘All the Smoke’ with Matt Barnes.
During the same, Jackson asked Bibby about who he wished to see on ‘All the Smoke’. Taking a dramatic pause, the Kings legend exhaled and revealed, “MJ.” When Bibby responded that he wanted to see Michael Jordan, both the podcast’s presenters, Matt Barnes, and Stephen Jackson, hinted that they needed joint participation to make this happen and offer the legendary episode to the fans.

Jackson then revealed that he allegedly already had confirmation of Mike that he would join ‘All the Smoke’ for an episode. “Because he actually said he would do it when I asked him. But me and you, we both have to join and can make this happen.”

“All the Smoke,” Barnes and Jackson’s podcast, has swiftly become one of the most popular NBA shows on the market.
If they can get Michael Jordan on the podcast, it will be a huge coup for them. Of course, Mike is well known for his privacy, and he rarely interviews. Barnes and Jackson hope they can persuade him to appear on the show. Initial signs do point to an eventual collaboration.
Apart from his comment to Jackson, the Chicago Bulls legend also reportedly to Matt Barnes that he would join. Late in 2022, he already revealed a conversation he had with His Airness. At the time, Barnes reported, “he [Jordan] will be on ‘All the Smoke’.”
