The reason will catch you off guard, much like it did for former Phoenix Suns player Eddie Johnson. Surprised by Parker’s revelation, the 64-year-old wrote,This is crazy.” Is it crazy? Well, the former point guard revealed the entire story to the listeners and said, “The man never spoke to me…I was his co-worker. Like we shared a cubicle side-by-side. Speaking of his silent treatment, Smush Parker shared that he tried to have a conversation with Kobe Bryant on one occasion. But the Lakers legend shunned him away, saying that the point guard was literally not qualified to speak to the Black Mamba. Parker shared what Bryant said to him when he tried to talk to him about a football match. As Parker recalled, Kobe’s words were,  “You can’t talk to me. You need more accolades under your belt before you talk to me.”

Wait there’s more. Parker also said that Bryant even took revenge after he revealed that story to the public.

Parker previously shared the story about the silent treatment in 2007. He believes that it was a “snowball” that he created and Bryant retaliated against him.

Almost five years later, the Lakers star mentioned in an interview, “Smush Parker was the worst…He shouldn’t have been in the NBA, but we were too cheap to pay for a point guard. We let him walk on.”

While it’s still unknown what inspired Bryant‘s comment, Parker made his opinion clear in the podcast. The 5x champion was known for his cold and ruthless approach. More than that, his sportsmanship was all about his intense drive and willingness to challenge rivals. Sometimes his teammates too, it seems.
