On Sunday, Caitlin Clark hit all five of her free throws, which put her at the top of the all-time NCAA Division I scoring chart. She has carved her name into the annals of college basketball with flair. The well-known Clark broke Pete Maravich’s 54-year record with two free throws after a technical foul in No. 6 Iowa’s 93–83 win over No. 2 Ohio State.
Since then, every fan has been praising her and celebrating her victory. Meanwhile, Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, also congratulated her through her social media. She shared a post over Instagram story tagging Caitlin Clark. Clark wore Kobe Bryant’s Nike shoes when she scored the most points in NCAA history.

Clark has worn a number of different Nike Kobe shoes while she was in college.
Even better, she is now the official basketball player face of a shoe line for women. It matches Clark’s offensive prowess, as some of Bryant’s most renowned sneakers are a perfect match for the school colors of Iowa.
Nevertheless, there will be no more games for Caitlin Clark to play for Iowa, but new things are about to start for her and women’s basketball in general.

Clark had the option to continue playing for the Hawkeyes after her first year owing to COVID-19 waivers, but she opted to join the WNBA draft alternatively. She made the announcement on her social media platforms. She is widely believed to be the first overall draft pick of the Indiana Fever.

The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association selected UConn’s Paige Bueckers and Clark co-freshman of the year in 2021. Athlete of the Year was also awarded to her 2023 designation from AP. Among her many accolades from her time playing collegiate basketball were the Naismith Trophy, the Sullivan Award from the American Athletic Union, and the Nancy Lieberman Award.
