The Kardashian sisters are back with drama and glamor. Context? Kim Kardashian recently dropped the biggest bombshell. But what did she say? About her second marriage with retired NBA player Kris Humphries. Did he respond? No. Then made him come to the news? His rare move.

Kim stated that she and Humphries were legally married when she was pregnant with North West. Here is where things got tricky. Humphries came up with a demand. What? She had to give back her engagement ring to Kris to get divorced from the 72-day marriage! She alleged that she had to part with her engagement ring despite having made most of the contribution! 

“I didn’t keep that. In order to divorce him, he said I had to give him the ring,” Kim said. It was an 18-carat emerald-cut Lorraine Schwartz ring. Does Humphries still have the ring? No. As per E!News, Humphries had the ring auctioned off for $749,000. Justification from him? “The ring is indeed Kris’ property that he received through his marriage dissolution,” the former NBA player’s representative explained about the ring. But did Humphries respond to her?

Humphries was recently spotted at a party before the Miami Open 2025. The snap was posted by Flaunt Magazine in their IG story, which even Humphries re-shared on his IG Story. Tennis Player Aryna Sabalenka was also present at the party. This comes close on the heels of the March 13 episode of The Kardashians, where Kim dropped the big news. While it is rare to spot Kris Humphries, given his preference for an away-from-limelight philosophy, this sudden appearance made everyone talking! His sudden appearance amidst the allegations is surprising, considering how he had avoided public attention for quite a few years. A message, or was just taken out of context? For him to answer!

Kris Humphries spoke about his mental health 

For those who don’t remember, the two had a brief marriage of 72 days and separated in 2011. Kim might have not been much affected, but for Humphries, it was much more. “I met a girl who happened to be really famous, and I got married, and.…. Damn”. The lifestyle was unmatched, the surroundings were different, and a guy from the court couldn’t deal with it.

After he requested the annulment of his marriage, Humphries felt that the marriage was merely used for Kardashian’s E! reality series, which caused him significant distress. In a sports-driven blog, Bring Me the News, the former NBA player opened up about the anxiety and public scrutiny he faced after the relationship ended.

“My whole life, I was a really confident, happy person. But nothing can prepare you for the feeling of walking down the street, or being anywhere, really,” he wrote. He further added, “The grocery store, the gas station — and having people literally running up on you and trying to film you, trying to grab you, saying God knows what. That’s not natural. That’s not supposed to be real life.”

He came a long way from that. Away from the glory of cameras where every moment is scrutinized. He’s happy in his world, and like he is, he chose not to respond to Kim’s remarks!
