The Washington Wizards have suffered yet another defeat. Just 1 defeat away from reaching the franchise record for 16 losses in a row. Hopes on their star player Kyle Kuzma have always been high. But how far a lone man can drag the entire team is what fans are worried about, as they see no one else stepping up.
On Run it Back FanDuel‘s flagship NBA show, 9-year NBA veteran Chandler Parsons had some choice words for the Wizards. He said the roster of the Wizards is not that inspiring, and nobody expected them to win the championship. “I don’t think expectations were very high for this team, but I also don’t think they were this low.”

He further explained that the strategy was always to bank on Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma, but it hasn’t clicked the way they wanted it to. Furthermore, the only guy who should be kept around is Bilal Coulibaly. The forward became the youngest player in the Wizards history to start a game. With him being 19 years of age there are a lot of upsides to having him around. But Parsons was not hopeful about Poole’s future with the team.
The Wizards find themselves in a sticky situation regarding Poole according to Parsons. Some reports suggest Poole’s contract is about $27.4 million a season. No other team would look to pay since his performance is not up to the mark this season.

What are Kyle Kuzma’s future trade options?
Kyle Kuzma seems to be the most viable option for them if they consider a trade, since he has been the team’s best asset and is a versatile player. Parsons also feels “speechless” since there are lots of things to do to make this team great. But he doesn’t really know where to start and is glad he doesn’t have to worry about them.
Parsons believes the Mavericks won’t make another trade offer for Kuzma this around. He feels Kuzma will fit perfectly to the King’s style of play. Further, he questions the loyalty angle with Wizards since he’s only been playing there since 2021. Parsons believes Kuzma shouldn’t “rot” in DC and instead move to a team where he can play championship playoffs.
