Dwyane Wade got his statue, street, memes, and everything. Now it’s time to celebrate his wife. Gabrielle Union (and her birthday twin, Tracee Ellis Ross) is 52. And she’s looking amazing at it! The multi-hyphenate Hollywood star is redefining aging in the best way possible and inspiring everyone. Making her birthday extra special is not only the huge event in her family that brought them all back to Miami, but also the Wade-Union fam’s friends.

A day after D-Wade’s statue was unveiled, on October 29, Gabrielle Union stated, “This is 52,” with a photo-dump of her best moments in year 51. It’s what she proceeds to call, “This is grown woman s**t. This is being accountable for mess ups.”

There was a longer message that prompted La La Anthony to write, “Love you!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE REALIST.” Union replied, “thanks sis! love you down!” but La La was not done. She reposted Union’s post on her Instagram Stories with a message that summed up our reactions too. “Screaming happy birthday to [Gabrielle Union]… An amazing friend with a heart of gold!!! Always there to give real talk when you need it the most.”

Couldn’t have said it better. Same goes for Steph Curry’s wife. Ayesha shared a picture of their girl boss gang with the message, “Happy birthday [Gabrielle Union]!!! We love you.”

Mr. Union himself couldn’t be left out. After a suggestive birthday wish on his own page, he commented a simple and cute, “Happy Birthday Baby.” 

Gabrielle Union and the rest of the family were back in Miami’s South Beach this week for an epic moment of Dwyane Wade’s career this far. The Miami Heat unveiled The Flash’s new statue and named a street outside Kaseya Center after him. While it was an emotional moment, the statue was not serving D-Wade. Through all the reactions and memes, Union stepped in to defend her husband’s monument. It fits her birthday resolution of, “This is calling a thing a thing and not falling for the Okey Doke and demanding better.” It struck a chord with her circle of famous friends.

Nicole Lyn, Sanaa Lathan, Ciara, Olivia Munn, and Taraji P. Henson responded to her bold message with birthday wishes. However, Beyonce’s mom, Tina Knowles wrote, “Happy Birthday Gabriel! You are getting more gorgeous every year.” Chelsea Handler accurately wrote, “RADIANT!!! VIBRANT! 52!”

Russell Westbrook’s wife, Nina, has about two decades to 52. Yet she writes, “Happy Birthday Babe! I’m trying to be you at 52, but now!”
