Will La La Anthony change her last name anytime soon? The actress currently has no plans to get married and is focused on her career and expanding her business, particularly with her latest collaboration with Airbnb. La La also received much praise for her work at Met Gala 2024. Apart from that, she is actively involved in supporting her son, Kiyan, who is the No.1 ranked high school player in New York. One of the reasons she has kept her ex-husband Carmelo Anthony‘s last name even three years after their divorce is also because of her son. But, that might change in the future.

During her recent appearance at the Fanatics Fest NYC, Anthony explained why she hasn’t switched back to her birth name, Vasquez. When the host mentioned the excitement about the future possibility of Kiyan’s NBA jersey being sold, Anthony responded, “That’s why I haven’t changed my last name yet. I’m gonna keep it around for a little while.”
It seems we might be right to make an assumption that the BMF actress may change her surname in the future. She is keeping her surname for her son’s sake. It is to support his aspirations for an NBA career. However, it isn’t any time soon.

Moving on, the actress and producer believed that the family’s move to New York contributed to their split.

She also believed that some cities were particularly problematic, as they were infamous for players’ infidelities. Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Anthony shared that her ex-husband’s game schedule constantly troubled her, and she couldn’t sleep all night. “When we lived here (New York) under all of that, that’s when things became complicated. Now that I look back, that was kind of the start of the demise of the marriage,” La La said.
