“LeBron is so easy to play. He’s so f—— easy to play…Scottie Pippen would shut his f——- a– down quick before I got to him.” This was previously how Dennis Rodman described LeBron James. Recently, the Bulls legend made an interesting comparison. He didn’t use skills, but instead used car models to make his point, not just about the top scorer in the game, but about the entire generation of players. Bizarre, right? Well, defending the Lakers’ superstar is the 7x NBA champion Robert Horry.
Icons of the previous generation, including Dennis Rodman, have made comments against LeBron James and his peers. This debate isn’t new. So, when the Worm was asked about who is a better 1v1 player, the answer was MJ. But the explanation: “Yeah. Michael Jordan was too sexy, man. When he had the ball and stuff like that. LeBron was like a goddamn f—- dump truck. What the f—, man? You know, Michael Jordan was sitting there dancing like a barista car.”
Meaning, Rodman called his former teammate agile, had more flair with the ball in his hands, while LeBron relies more on brute physicality. But that’s not the case as per Horry. The former Lakers star stated, “Yeah, I guess MJ had the swag…” Rather than debating this, Big Shot Bob detailed why there was a difference in physicality between LeBron and Jordan. “If you really sit back and think about it, MJ was more physical than LeBron because he played in a physical time. Everybody was trying to take him out the air. LeBron, you get a couple of teams that try to take him out the air, but it’s just different,”

Horry claims that MJ had to play when it was a violent era. In fact, His Airness even gained close to 15 pounds of muscle to take on the Bad Boy Pistons. Still, his physical body never reached the epitome that LeBron James and his body operate at. The 4x NBA champion is 6-foot-9, and has weighed 250 pounds. That’s why the dump truck comparison from Rodman. Despite this, let’s not forget that this body will soon play for the 23rd year.
Even though the league might not be as physical as some claim it to be. LeBron James should get flowers for sustaining as long as he has and still being in the conversation about being the best player in the league.

Another Lakers legend cleared his stance on the LeBron and Michael Jordan debate
Now that you know what Dennis Rodman thought of MJ the teammate, do you know what he thought of MJ the opponent? The Bulls and Pistons battled hard in the late ’80s and early ’90s, and Dennis? He was an absolute defensive powerhouse. “I was riding Michael Jordan’s a–,” he admitted. Quite blunt, but that’s what you expect from the Bulls legend. Even though he has Michael Jordan as his GOAT, he still found a chink in his armor during their playing days. One such legend who faced His Airness was none other than Magic Johnson.

The 5x NBA champion would be MJ’s teammate in the Olympics, and even today, both are celebrating their friendship. For Magic, the choice of #1 is clear. “I would have to say, Michael,” Magic said, laying the foundation of his stance before even mentioning the other legends.“We haven’t seen anybody do the things that Michael could do. And he was physically so gifted at the same time, smart.” But Magic didn’t stop at naming his number 1, he would list Lebron James alongside another Lakers legend.
“Then I think we have two other Lakers following him right after that. And that would be LeBron and Kareem [Abdul-Jabbar]… you got to throw Bill Russell in there because 11 championships, you can’t deny that.” So, that’s Magic Johnson’s top 4. Starts with Michael Jordan, then LeBron, and captain Kareem, and then Bill Russell. Let’s see if this starts any debate between fans, like Dennis Rodman’s dump truck comment did.
