Picking up steam from his last stint with the Los Angeles Lakers, Scottie Pippen’s son is making waves now. The G-League guard recently signed a two-way deal with the Memphis Grizzlies and has mostly represented Memphis Hustle in the NBA’s developmental league. His mother and Real Housewives of Miami star Larsa Pippen is often seen supporting the 23-year-old. While her relationship with Marcus Jordan has been in the news lately, the mother of four makes sure to follow and praise her children’s work.

With the Grizzlies suffering from various injuries, Pippen Jr. has been given a consistent run in the team, averaging more than 22 minutes per game in the 8 games he has played. He recently shared some glimpses from the Grizzlies’ game against his father’s former team, the Chicago Bulls, a couple of weeks ago on his Instagram and captioned it, “Sleep hit different when your dreams coming true.” Larsa showed some love to her son and commented on the post as she added two fire emojis.

Scotty Pippen Jr.’s game style is quite similar to his 6x NBA championship-winning father Scottie. The post also showcases Pippen Jr. channeling his father, who was known for his defensive prowess, by blocking a shot off the board. In the game against the Bulls, Pippen not only started but he clocked 28 minutes on the floor, recording 15 points and 6 assists.

In his next appearance against the New Orleans Pelicans, Pippen added 6 points and 3 rebounds, following which he was sidelined due to back soreness. The 23-year-old has played 8 games with the Grizzlies so far. He is averaging 10.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in those games and will be hoping to keep his place on the roster once the stars are back. Interestingly, his first game with the Grizzlies came in his father’s old stomping ground.

Speaking of playing in the arena, where his father’s jersey hangs, Pippen said, “Still a surreal feeling to me to be here, see my dad’s name in the rafters, so you know I grew up in Chicago, so this is my first time playing here since I have been a little kid.” He added, “Definitely surreal feeling, just to be in this building coz I remember being a little kid running around here.”
