The contentious relationship between Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan remains a hot topic. But the Real Housewives of Miami star has a history of relationships that are far more problematic. She recalled one of her most toxic relationships to her boyfriend, Marcus Jordan on their podcast, Separation Anxiety. Just a little snippet of that saga made her 16-years younger boyfriend react heatedly.

Before she was dating Michael Jordan‘s son, Larsa Pippen was married to the NBA legend’s former teammate, Scottie Pippen. The former Chicago Bulls’ stars feuding and this complicated dynamic is making for a lot of internet fodder. But Larsa has experience dealing with worse.

Larsa Pippen reveals her worst relationship

This week on Separation Anxiety, Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan discussed jealousy in relationships. They were vague about the subject in their own relationship. But Pippen has at least dealt with that before.

After Jordan asked her if “outside of this relationship, not talking about our relationship,” she had experienced a jealousy-filled relationship, whether she was the jealous party or not. Pippen promptly replied that she has dealt with this.

“I dated someone that was so jealous that I could not wear leggings,” she recalled. This would come as a shock to a lot of her followers who have occasionally seen this reality star flaunt her curves in figure-hugging fashion. Her bold style has made her something of a fashion influencer and they can’t imagine her changing her style for an ex.

As shocking as this revelation was for listeners, it didn’t initially surprise Marcus. He apparently heard this story from her before. He even tried to joke the clothing request was “for good reason.”

But Pippen would reveal more details about this short-lived relationship that elicited a strong reaction from Marcus. Larsa disclosed how her ex tried to isolate her apart from dictating her clothing choices.

Marcus Jordan shocked by Larsa’s ex

Marcus and Larsa have advice on relationships for their podcast listeners. They draw from their personal experiences, including from Larsa’s mom. Michael Jordan’s son, though, doesn’t stand for the behavior of Larsa’s jealous ex after she revealed more about him.

“I literally couldn’t leave my house,” Pippen said. She never said who the ex was, but said the relationship was new when these demands escalated. “He’s like ‘if you’re not with me…’ I mean ‘if you’re not with your kids, you’re definitely with me. It’s not like you’re ever gonna leave me to go hang out with your friends.'”

Marcus was appalled at the escalation. He interrupted her stuttering, “That’s too much. I feel like that’s controlling and possessiveness. Not necessarily jealous.” He gave his opinion on jealousy and handling it. But he was certain what Pippen experienced went beyond jealousy.

Both agreed that “a touch” of jealousy improves the relationship. As Pippen says, “You know that the person cares.” But too much can backfire and push the person away, as Larsa’s ex most definitely did.
