Taylor Swift set the tone for rekindling a romance in a song contrastingly titled, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” It looks like LarCus may be following that theme. The controversial couple apparently broke up, indicated by both purging all traces of each other on their social media over the Big Game Weekend.

While it was a big romantic moment for Swifties when the singer’s boyfriend won the Super Bowl, Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan abruptly split up. Marcus instead enjoyed the Super Bowl with his dad, Michael Jordan, while Larsa was making cryptic posts on Instagram. Most close to them are reacting like their social media followers to the news, claiming that it came out of left field. But the ones who know them best believe this breakup is temporary.

“It happened Friday or Saturday, but most likely on Saturday,” a source told People. “They were just with friends last Thursday or Friday and no one saw any issues and they were happy. They’ll probably get back together.”  The insider implied this is a temporary break, adding, “It’s relationship stuff. But apparently came out nowhere so when the emotions, it will maybe be fine.”

Another source close to the couple confirmed the same. This person said that it was a mutual decision on Pippen and Jordan’s part to, “take some time apart to reevaluate their relationship.”

Previously, Pippen and Jordan were implying they were close to an engagement. When Marcus Jordan made his reality TV debut on The Real Housewives of Miami, they hinted that future kids are on the cards too. The breakup indeed came out of the blue as until the moment they scrubbed posts with each other, Marcus was leaving loving comments under her posts.

The reason behind the ‘temporary’ LarCus break

Speculation was rife that the Jordan family had something to do with it. However, the very same insiders dismissed rumors that any family or external factor was involved. “This has nothing to do with any family input, but solely for their personal growth.”

The rumors about the breakup being fueled by family seemingly stem from Michael Jordan publicly disapproving of their relationship in the past. Marcus though repeatedly said that he was joking and his dad was supportive of their relationship. Larsa claimed she was “traumatized” by MJ’s “No” on their Separation Anxiety podcast.
