Despite their undeniable impact, it’s surprising that this spectacular duo is snubbed from any top five best duos list.

However, former NBA player Kendrick Perkins recently shared his top five NBA duo’s list on his show, with no sign of the Lakers duo.

Kendrick Perkins shines the spotlight on the best 5 NBA duos

Perkins kicked off the new year with his list of the five NBA superstar duos that impressed him with their game. Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle of New York Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid, Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic of Denver Nuggets are the stars who made it into Perkins’ list.

Speaking of the top duo, the analyst said, Still the best duo in the game today they have proved it on a high level they came back in Golden State and got a good win Jamal Murray came back like he forgot something and Jokic is doing what Jokic does best.” He added, “So again…this is not an ABC list this is not an ESPN bet list this is my list.”

Many fans also expressed their views on Perkins’ Top 5 picks. One netizen debated on the fifth spot, suggesting that other NBA duos deserved inclusion. Many argued that James and Davis deserved a spot on the list. Another fan said, “Randle and Brunson over Bron and AD is crazy.” Others also suggested a few more duos who should have been on the list.

If you’re getting a sense of deja vu, this has indeed happened before: Perkins stirred the NBA community pot by unveiling his all-time center and guard duos list, with some out-of-the-box choices, in 2023.

Kendrick Perkins snubbed the Lakers duo from the All-Time Center and Guard duos List

Topping the list were Los Angeles Lakers legends Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant, deemed the best duo in NBA history. Next were the iconic duo of Bill Russell and Bob Cousy, showcasing the rich Celtics history. The Lakers’ dominance continues in third place with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson. Tim Duncan and Tony Parker secured the fourth spot, while the duo of Draymond Green and Stephen Curry rounds out the top five, sparking debates and discussions among basketball enthusiasts.
