Since the beginning of the regular season, Anthony Edwards was expected to make waves and did just that. In fact, he emerged as a rising star of the NBA during the first round of playoffs, dropping a whopping 43 points in the game. As the Timberwolves concluded the matchup against the Nuggets with a score of 106-99, Edwards was already under the spotlight. This caught him as the face on a poster being circulated across the internet, with his face and the quote, “If I do something nice, I gotta let it be known.” Guess what? This caught the attention of Isiah Thomas.

In a matter of seconds, he found the poster apt for usage in the ongoing beef between him and Michael Jordan. While using the picture, he penned, “Let it be Known @nbatv.” Thomas’ and Jordan’s rivalry dates back to their initial days when both played for different NBA teams.

Both being remarkable players, they once shared the same court, where the beef began. Back in 1985, during the All-Star Game, Isiah conspired to “freeze him out” on the court so that Jordan couldn’t score more. And it worked out; Jordan secured a mere 7 points during the game. Though allegations are always denied by Thomas himself, why is this longstanding debate catching fire after decades?

The mastermind behind Jordan’ and Isiah’s feud

Even though Isiah often takes aim at Jordan, this time he wasn’t the one starting off the conversation. In a recent episode of Club Shay Shay, Charles Barkley sat with the team and shared his insights about Jordan vs. Isiah. While giving the interview, he said, “I think @IsiahThomas was a better player than John Stockton. Isiah Thomas probably should’ve been on the team. … But apparently Michael Jordan didn’t want him on the team,” indirectly firing at Jordan.

As expected, Barkley’s words acted as fuel, and Isiah dived into the conversation. After seeing the whole conversation of Barkley, he immediately took to his official X account and penned, “I am confronting his lies and fraudulent claims to me and my family personally who lived with him for years that we were all good.

He added, “and his producers invited me to his doc and snaked me publicly. I am a historian of the game; I give him the ultimate credit for his play!” calling Jordan out for a fiery battle of words. Now, the question is, will Jordan reply to Isiah?
