“A little golf clap to both of you guys. Hey, I love golf, but Scottie Scheffler, Nellie, Nellie Corder, y’all are awesome,” Barkley remarked. “But you know the thing I like about him too? When he went to a dive bar after he won the Masters at home, because you know, I’m a big dive bar person,” Barkley continued.

The conversation did not stop there as the Alabama-born highlighted the condition in which Scheffler enjoyed his win. “I’m a big dive bar person. I do. I love dive bars. For him to win the Masters, fly home to check on, I think his wife is Meredith, I hope I’m correct. Then take his boys out to celebrate winning the Masters at a dive bar. Shout out to Scottish Chef,” Barkley quipped.

Scheffler won the Masters Tournament twice in 2022 and 2024. He had won the first time by three shots whereas during the second time he emerged victorious by 4 shots. Thus he became the first person to win the Masters tournament twice in a three-year span by 3 or more shots. Taking home the green jacket, Scheffler bagged the lucrative prize money of $3.6m.

Previously, Scheffler had also won the Players Championship and showed love for his wife by labeling her as a major support. I really do have a great support system. I’m very thankful for it,” he had said as per the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, Barkley has also played golf professionally; maybe he will try to incorporate a thing or two from Scheffler’s game and also celebrate his wins at the dive bar.
