It has been four years since the tragic helicopter crash on January 26 that took the lives of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gigi, along with 7 others, breaking the hearts of fans worldwide. The time doesn’t seem to have healed the pain yet as millions continue to mourn the loss of lives in the incident. Kobe’s widow, Vanessa, also shared a beautiful post on Instagram, with the Los Angeles Lakers following suit.
Giving a glimpse into the warmth of the father-daughter duo’s bond, the photo captured Kobe and Gianna smiling brightly at the camera at a Lakers game. Rather than conveying her emotions through a long message, Vanessa added two heart emojis to show her love. The Lakers also shared the same picture on Instagram with the caption, “Forever“.

The LA franchise is also set to honor the 5x NBA champion’s legacy. A bronze statue of the champion will be unveiled at Star Plaza outside Crypto.com Arena on February 8. With that, he will become the 7th Lakers great to have his legacy honored with a statue. Vanessa also continues to preserve Kobe and Gianna’s legacy through initiatives like the Mambacita line and the Mambacita Foundation.
Countless fans also flooded social media with their most treasured memories of the iconic pair to pay tribute. Many also commented on Vanessa’s post to show their love and support.

Fans shower love and support on the Bryant family
One of the fans wrote, “Sending you and the girls prayers and lots of love today and always. 💜💛🙏🏼” The official Instagram page of the Los Angeles Lakers also commented on the post with an infinity emoji. The emoji was to show the franchise’s limitless love and respect for the late legend and his daughter Gigi.
