Kendrick Lamar will be headlining the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show. And the announcement has already become the talk of the town. The latest segment of the DJ Vlad show saw the guest reflecting on the past Halftime Show performances. TK Kirkland recounted his experience witnessing the most legendary performance by Michael Jackson and the most interesting companion, Dennis Rodman. 

Kirkland said in his previous interview in 2020 interview. He said it again. He had a conversation with Rodman during that event and believes that the famed singer and songwriter Madonna had transformed Rodman into a completely different person. “That week we went to see Michael Jackson and just before Madonna turned him out. He was just a nice guy,” Kirkland claimed.

It’s been three decades since Jackson’s Halftime performance, and Rodman’s brief romance with Madonna. But Kirkland remains firm in his belief. In his earlier interview, Kirkland even compared Madonna to Erykah Badu. Badu was also accused of being too charming which led to a change in her partner’s personality.

The same question was asked to former NBA player John Salley, Rodman’s teammate during their rookie years with the Detroit Pistons.

In his interview with DJ Vlad, Salley stated that he did not share the same opinion.

Dennis Rodman revealed the reason why the two dated each other

Rodman and Madonna dated for a very short time. The two broke up after just two months. Despite the short time of their relationship, the two created quite a stir. Rodman believed there was a reason behind Madonna dating him. 

He felt it was due to his reputation as a bad boy, particularly as her own career was in decline at the time. “In 1993, I think her career was declining, and she said the reason why she dated me was because I was a bad boy,” Rodman said. 

This all took place in 1993. The pop singer even expressed a desire to have a child with Rodman. In fact, the Chicago Bulls legend once shared that he was offered a whopping $20 million if they had a child together. “She asked me if I got her pregnant, she’d pay me $20 million,” the Chicago Bulls legend claimed.

In another odd incident, Rodman left a casino game at Madonna’s request. The list of wild moments between them goes on. While many are familiar with these antics, TK Kirkland’s opinion on the matter might be a more bizarre one to fans.
