The love for basketball cannot be taken away from Magic Johnson. Not just basketball, he is a big fan of every sport out there and contributes equally to its growth. He shows the same love when it comes to his alma mater, Michigan State University. The basketball legend also once donated $1 million to his university for its growth. He has always been a huge supporter! While he might keep his silence on Charles Barkley‘s latest revelation, he couldn’t do the same when it came to his former team.

Johnson’s Spartans recently achieved a win over Washington. In his appreciation post for the team, the Los Angeles Lakers legend also gave a shout-out to senior guard Jaden Akins. Akins scored 20 points to lead the team to a massive 88-54 win in a Big Ten Conference men’s basketball game.

He had major help from Jeremy Fears Jr., who scored 12 points and made 10 assists. While Jase Richardson contributed 12 points and five steals, Tre Holloman finished with 11 points and six assists. It was indeed a big win for the Spartans, and no one was more excited than Johnson, who led the men’s basketball team, the Spartans, to an NCAA victory in 1979. Johnson may or may not have been present at the Breslin Center, but he made his voice known.

Taking to his social media, he wrote, “A great win for my Spartans tonight! 4 players were in double figures, led by an efficient 20 points by Akins and excellent point guard play by Fears Jr. with 12 points and 10 assists.” he further wrote, “Right from tip off it was a total team domination in every phase of the game: offense, defense, rebounding, and fast breaks!”

However, he hasn’t commented on the latest development involving Charles Barkley

Charles Barkley reveals the addition of a new member on Capital One

Charles Barkley recently joined Bickley and Marotta for a conversation. When asked about the famous Capital One ad commercials in which he has featured so many times, Barkley mentioned Johnson. He shared that Johnson has been featured in the ad quite a few times in the last 4-5 years. This year, they have a fresh addition, Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

“They do a great job. I cannot wait… We add magic, not magic. We have magic… in Jen Gardner for the last five or six years. This year we have in Kareem. So I’m really excited about that,” Barkley said. Abdul Jabbar is sure to make it more entertaining.

Like Barkley pointed out, during these Capital One features, Johnson has given several memorable moments. We can never forget the Magic Mart ad. “You ready to get real this #MarchMadness? @samuelljackson and @officialspikelee, let me hear you say The Magic Mart is the best shop around,” he had captioned the post featuring the ad.

Another time, the basketball legend turned into a genie. In the clip, he granted Charles Barkley’s wish to have wings. His wish was immediately fulfilled as white wings appeared on his back. This is where the fun and entertainment are, and the fans look forward to it. Now, a new name is also about to join the fold.
